Seed submission

Add a site to the index

Search.ITISYOU indexes a small, owner-approved set of sites. You can tell us about one here. Every submission is read by a person before anything is fetched.

Site details

A page anyone can open without signing in. Include https://.

If the site publishes one. We only read sitemaps that belong to the same host, and only after the site is approved.

Only used to ask a question about this submission or to tell you the outcome. Not added to any list. Leave it blank if you prefer.

Submitting sends the values above and the time of the request. We do not store your IP address.

What happens after you submit

  1. Checks. We confirm the URL is public, resolves over a normal web connection, and is not already covered by the index.
  2. Review. A person compares the site against our published crawl policy. This step is manual and unscheduled.
  3. If approved. The host becomes an owner-approved seed and joins the ordinary crawl queue behind everything already waiting.
  4. If not. Nothing is fetched and nothing is stored beyond the request itself. We will not always be able to tell you why.

Submitting a URL is not a promise to crawl it. We run a selective index, not an internet-wide one, and we decline far more sites than we accept. There is no automatic crawl on submission and no queue position we can quote you.

Approval does not remove your control. Our crawler keeps obeying your robots.txt, our published crawl delay, and any removal request you send later. The user agent, cadence and blocking instructions are on the crawler page.
